Collecting from Forest of Dean
The Forest is the one part of Gloucestershire where the quickest way to Bristol isn't via Gloucester. From Lydney and the south of the Forest, it's down the A48 to Chepstow and over the old Severn Bridge.
It also puts Cardiff Airport within easy reach, which is handy for holiday flights that don't go from Bristol.

Bristol Airport
About 40 miles from Lydney. A48 to Chepstow, the M48 over the Severn Bridge, then the M5 and A38. From Cinderford or Newent it's often quicker via Gloucester and the M5.
Cardiff Airport
About 50 miles from Lydney. Chepstow, then the M48 and M4 west and down through Barry. Allow just over an hour.
Birmingham Airport
About 75 miles. North via Ross-on-Wye and the M50, then the M5 and M42. Allow an hour and a half.

Around the Forest
Buses are few and the nearest station is Lydney, so we do a lot of runs to Gloucester station and Cheltenham Spa for trains.
Groups staying at holiday lets near Symonds Yat, Puzzlewood and Clearwell often need collecting from the airport or station on arrival day, with all their luggage.
We also take Forest groups into Gloucester and Cheltenham for nights out and race days, and bring them home along the A48 at the end.
